In a tight or narrow space, place shelving above ground and above head height so that you don’t diminish the circulation space below an pathway into the bedroom. A bed that is placed above the floor not only gives the illusion of suspension but allows you that extra under-bed storage space.
Avoid lining both sides of the room with storage. This bedroom only adds an open closet on one side of the room, which makes it feel bigger. Keeping the walls white, or painting them a brighter shade of white, will make the room feel more spacious as well. Lastly, a large window that can take up half the wall is also great for giving the space breathing room.
