For those of you old enough to remember – it’s time to get a little Waltons and Little House on the Prairie nostalgia style with the following images. That’s because they’re all sweet and homely country kitchen style.
Some are super sophisticated and ultra modern country kitchen design, others look as if you’ve just stepped back around five decades. But whatever the era, the sentiment’s always the same – country kitchens make us remember home cooked meals, family, and fighting with your sibling to get the last piece of corn bread (or pop tart in the modern version).
Anyway feast your eyes on this selection and, if you have time, please let us know in the comments section which is your favorite.
Transitional Kitchen by South West Kitchen & Bath Designers Artichoke
This ultra-modern and practical country kitchen (it belongs to a professional chef) consists of a lovely spacious island, lots of storage and a gorgeous copper oven.
Designer: Harvey Jones
The pine supporting beam, as well as the beams on the slanted roof give this clean, fresh country kitchen a positively medieval look. Look at those lovely country cottage-style windows too.
